At the core of their business is trust. Their professionalism is in large part how they earn it. And their website needed to convey both qualities.
We spent hours searching for the perfect photos to portray their services. Professional, business-like photos of surveillance techniques are not easy to come by. But we knew this was essential in creating the right kind of atmosphere for the site.
We also implemented the Google Custom Search Engine. Not only does this provide an easy way for visitors to find what they are looking for, but Google is also a name people trust.
File management & security
L&W not only needed a professional site, but one with very specific & secure functionality. They needed a way for investigators to upload large files to a central location — and also a way for clients to gain access to those same files.
For this, we utilized third-party file management software called FileRun. We first encrypted all data travelling over the lwvirginia.com domain. Then we installed the FileRun application and customized it to meet the needs of L&W Investigations.
We also made it easy for new and existing clients to submit a case over a secure connection.
Search engine optimization (SEO)
We shouldn’t save this for last, because technically we worked on it first, but SEO was important to L&W. And nothing gets Dave more excited on a lazy Tuesday afternoon than keyword research.
We did extensive keyword research to determine common search trends in the investigations industry. L&W provided some great initial content for the site, and we helped them fine-tune it to get the best search results.
