Understanding her philosophy

Before any successful SEO campaign, you need to work hard to understand who you’re working with. We didn’t want to throw a bunch of highly-searched keywords onto her site if that’s not what her business is about.

Once we got to know Alix, we developed a list of popular keywords & phrases to target with search engines. Phrases like "personal coach," "career coach," "leadership development," and "marriage" are all a part of Alix’s business, but they weren’t showing up on her site. We had to fix that.

Content writing

We worked with the content that Alix had already written years ago for her site. We put our keyword research to good use, and optimized every page on her website.

In addition to new content, we also optimized the code behind-the-scenes. We updated the title & description tags, as well as added h1 and h2 headings with targeted keyword phrases. All the while, we kept usability in mind, and actually improved the user experience as well as the search rankings.

In the world of SEO, it doesn’t always happen this quickly, but we are proud to say that Alix acquired 2 new clients in the first month after we began work — both of which found her through Google.
