  2. Dec 31, 2007 Joanna joins Dave’s web team at Give More Media (you’ll see why this is important in June 2009).
  3. 2008
  4. All year Things get a bit fuzzy. Either we enjoyed the longest nap in history, or we just took the entire year off. Not really sure where ’08 went.
  5. 2009
  6. Feb 8, 2009 Dave goes on a long run in the woods. Around mile 10, domains start flying through his head. He immediately, and literally, runs home and buys escapecreative.com, along with 3 similar domains.
  7. Feb 9, 2009 Dave is caught repeating “escape creative” over and over again, in every variation imaginable. He knew he had a winner.
  8. May 2009 Joanna & Dave both leave Give More Media. Joanna, to take on a web designer role at another company. Dave, to build the framework for Escape Creative.
  9. May 19, 2009 We officially became an LLC in the state of Virginia. Not that we weren’t going to make it happen anyway. This just gave us our street cred.
  10. Jun 2009 Dave asks Joanna for help. Joanna wants in. Escape Creative doubles its size. Game on.
  11. Oct 20, 2009 We signed our first official contract to partner with Laura Akesson of Science Overdrive.
  12. Dec 29, 2009 We launched our first partner’s website, scienceoverdrive.org.
  13. 2010
  14. Jan 1, 2010 A new month. A new year. A new decade. escapecreative.com is born. We tell the world our story, and officially open for business. Here’s to many great things to come.
